Medium Steel Plate

Medium steel plate is a flat steel material with a large aspect ratio and surface area. The materials come in specifications such as Q235, Q345, 20 #, 16MN, 304, 316, etc.
According to the thickness, steel plates are divided into thin steel plates (thickness<=4 millimeters) and thick steel plates (thickness>4 millimeters). In practical work, steel plates with thickness<=25 millimeters are often referred to as medium plates, steel plates with thickness between 25-60 millimeters are referred to as thick plates, and steel plates with thickness>60 millimeters are referred to as extra thick plates, collectively known as medium thick steel plates. Steel plates with relatively small width and long length are called steel strips and are classified as a separate variety.
Steel plates have great coverage and tolerance capabilities, and can be used as roof panels, tarpaulin materials, as well as manufacturing containers, oil storage tanks, packaging boxes, train carriages, car shells, industrial furnace shells, etc. They can be cut and combined according to usage requirements to make various structural and mechanical parts, and can also be made into welded steel sections, further expanding the scope of steel plate use; It can be bent and stamped to produce boilers, containers, stamped car shells, civilian vessels, appliances, and can also be used as a blank for welding steel pipes and cold-formed steel. Due to the above characteristics, the production of steel plates accounts for more than 50% of the total steel production.
